Diese Methode hat sich in verschiedenen Anwendungen wie der Emissionspr\u00fcfung von Fahrzeugen, in der Umwelttechnik (Nachweis von Luftschadstoffen), in der Medizintechnik und in der Biologie bew\u00e4hrt.<br \/>\nSie ist hochgenau, stabil und eine direkte Messung (unabh\u00e4ngig von Hintergrundgasen).<\/p>\n<p>Sie beruht auf der Tatsache, dass Infrarot-Lichtenergie von Gasmolek\u00fclen absorbiert wird. In der photoakustischen Spektroskopie wird das modulierte Licht in akustische Wellen umgewandelt. Als Lichtquelle werden h\u00e4ufig IR-Laserdioden verwendet, da f\u00fcr viele Anwendungen die jeweilige Wellenl\u00e4nge des untersuchten Materials im Infrarotbereich liegt. Das Licht wird elektronisch oder mechanisch moduliert, z.B. mit Hilfe eines Choppers.<\/p>\n<p>Gasmolek\u00fcle absorbieren einen Teil des Lichts, wenn die Lichtfrequenz einer Absorptionsbande des Gases in der Zelle entspricht. Je h\u00f6her die Konzentration des Gases ist, desto mehr Licht wird absorbiert.<\/p>\n<p>Das absorbierte Licht verursacht W\u00e4rme und damit einen Druckanstieg. Durch das modulierte Licht wird der Druck abwechselnd zu- und abnehmen.<br \/>\nDadurch wird ein akustisches Signal erzeugt, das von einem Mikrofon erfasst und dann in ein elektrisches Signal
